A man trying to buy gas cards with credit was arrested Thursday. A North Bay police officer became suspicious when the 28-year-old Maple, Ont., resident attempted to purchase a large quantity of gas cards on his credit card at an Algonquin Avenue Gas station shortly after 9 p.m.

West Nipissing Police are treating the site where human remains were found Thursday as a crime scene. Insp. Ray St. Pierre said police are releasing little information on the discovery at this time, in the hopes the Centre of Forensic Science in Toronto will be able to provide answers.
